2022 marks the 25th anniversary for a few things in footwear from the Air Max 97 to the Air Jordan 13. This Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT “25th Anniversary” is celebrating something different — the brand’s quarter century of operations in China.
Truly capturing the era’s aesthetic through gaudy watercolor prints across the collar, in-cut Swoosh, and insoles; prints that my mom would have definitely worn on tennis tracksuits in the mid-1990s. Its surrounds are significantly more reserved, with light blue tinted leather uppers, tongues, and overlays working with royal blue trimming and pure white accents at the midsoles and laces. The pair is then completed by “25”-branded insoles in the famous Air Jordan 11 styling.
