Jordan Brand has frequently visited fan-favorite colorways on other silhouettes; for example, this year’s Air Jordan 13 “French Blue” is inspired by the Air Jordan 3 “True Blue” and Air Jordan 12 of the same name. Furthermore, the recently-revealed Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT “Hare” serves as a direct nod to the OG Air Jordan 7 from 1992. Now the Zoom-filled Jordan 1 design will look to honor another Air Jordan 7 for the latter’s 30th anniversary with this Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT “Citrus” paying tribute to the 2006 Air Jordan 7 of the same name.
With the inspiring sneaker also set to release this year, this CMFT colorway will likely see a release in July, too. But it’s not just the release window that the two will share, but also an overarching theme of contrast gold stitch on black nubuck, pops of yellow and red, and signature AJ7 geometric prints. the latter can be found here on the insoles, with the others fairly obvious in their appearance. To differentiate a little, the designers have called upon leather uppers for a distinct textural change to the upper, with staple finishes like nylon tongues, neoprene collars, and exposed foams to complete the design.
