Jordan Brand has frequently visited Mike’s past exploits for inspiration, with colorways stemming from everything from his days at the Birmingham Barons to the infamous “Like Mike” Gatorade commercial. One of the earliest instances of this was Jordan’s partnership with Bugs Bunny, which went from TV commercial to sneaker colorway, to 1996’s Space Jame feature film. The Air Jordan 8 “Hare” is titled so because of this link to the mischievous bunny and has since gone on to inspire several Air Jordan releases in the future, from the Air Jordan 1 to the Air Jordan 6. Now the theme has reappeared, with official images of the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT “Hare” hitting Nike servers this week.
Dressed in a signature scheme of white leather and neutral suede, the pair is popped with striking red hits along the outsole trim, Wings logo, collar, and tongue. The latter finished with the iconic distressed geometric pattern in green, red, orange, black, and grey — as are the insoles — before being completed by a pop of purple on the underfoot tread.
