An Eye-Catching Air Jordan 11 "Sport Royal" Joins 30th Anniversary Roster

Before the Air Jordan 1 fanaticism of the mid-2010s, the most-coveted sneaker from His Airness' signature roster was widely considered to be the Air Jordan 11. In 2025, the silhouette celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Prior to the last few years, Tinker Hatfield's ninth design for Michael Jordan had been largely relegated to only one release per calendar cycle. Thus, whichever retro dropped between the months of October and December was often the most-anticipated of the year. The sneaker's patent leather-donning design continues to evoke excitement, but its been largely overshadowed by other Nike, Inc. offerings. Nevertheless, the folks in Beaverton, Ore. have prepped a special celebration for the Jordan 11's milestone occasion, which also includes a pair clad in "Sport Royal," according to Romania's Sneaker Market outlet.

The news arrives as a record-number of retros have already been confirmed. The full extent of each offering's release has yet to be disclosed by Team Jumpman, but the half-dozen styles mark an important moment for the beloved Air Jordan model. The aforementioned blue hue is expected to appear via the design's signature mudguard, while the remainder of the retro features a "Sail/Off White/Newsprint" color scheme. As with all unconfirmed sneakers, in-hand looks at the pair could vary from speculative mock-ups.

Firm release details haven't been confirmed by the brand as of yet, but pairs are expected to hit Nike.com/Jordan by mid-December. All Adult sizes of the Jordan 11 currently have an MSRP of $250. Expect official photos of the "Sport Royal"-accented style to emerge by the beginning of fall.
