There’s a White and Grey Jordan 12 on the Way for Holiday 2019
Not the Flint we wanted — but if they’re anything like this, we’d be ok with it.
A ton of rumors have been floating around early this year and late last about the possible return of the “Flint” Air Jordan 12 for late 2019, rumors which have continually been shut down. A retro of the pair would be the first since it’s original release in 2003, so after such a long hiatus you can see why Jordanheads have been screaming for the colorway to drop.
While the rumor has been quashed again this year, we’ve got word via @DJFolk that we will be receiving a White/Grey-Red pair of the Air Jordan 12 in December this year, but it’s highly unlikely it will be a 1 for 1 copy of 2003’s fan-favorite release that shares the same color makeup. That’s not to say that a retro of the Flint colorway is out of the question — but don’t get your hopes up.
But we’re not surprised — Jordan Brand has been put in a tight spot with retro releases of non-OG colorways, after a widespread demand for the return of the “Mocha” Air Jordan 3 resulted in a retro release last year that ended up sitting on shelves. That only makes the decision to retro colorways like the “Flint” Jordan 12 all the more difficult to decide upon.
The pair we are getting is expected to be a new colorway, as per DJ Folk, of which we’re unsure of the blocking. But we have completed a render of what could possibly arise later this year — and if it looks anything like the pair below, we’d be ok with it.
Stay tuned for more details and first looks!
