Air Jordan 13 “Starfish” Arriving Early 2021
Jordan Brand will be releasing a brand new Shattered Backboard-esque Air Jordan 13 “Starfish” colorway in the new year.
Sneaker leak pages @SHOF and @zSneakerheadz dropped the bomb today, putting out details for a White/Black-Starfish Air Jordan 13 to release in early 2021. And while some people have been quick to draw the color list comparison to the Shattered Backboard Air Jordan 1, we’re thinking a little more laterally. There has been a handful of recent Air Jordan 13 releases that have paid tribute to NBA PE colorways from the early 2000s. Lakers, Celtics, and Magic PEs for Fred Jones, Ray Allen, and Q-Rich were all reworked into retail releases — and this could likely be another.
Jordan Brand athlete and PE God Quentin Richardson spent only one season in Phoenix, but he still managed to score one of the crispiest Jordan Brand PEs in history while he was there:
Like the Hyper Royal drop from 2018 (Q-Rich’s Orlando) and the upcoming “Celtics” release this July (Ray Allen), we could very well be seeing a black-podded rendition of a Q-Rich PE. Based on this serial assumption — and with first looks still a long while off — we’ve whipped up a Photoshop render below of a possible outcome for the drop.
A release date for the Air Jordan 13 “Starfish” has not yet been supplied, but you can expect these to arrive early next year. First looks and further details will be filtering through over the coming months, so make sure you’re tuned into our official Twitter account for all the updates.
