The Air Jordan 18 Returns in 2027

The Air Jordan 18 is finally returning for the first time in nearly a decade and Jordan Brand is expected to bring a new look to the silhouette with the upcoming “Breaking Barriers” colorway.

Early information points to the pair featuring tribal flame motifs across the upper, outlined with white stitching and complemented by multicolor detailing. If the reported design carries through to the retail version, it would mark the first released Air Jordan 18 to feature a graphic design across its upper.

The treatment would be a notable departure for the model, which has traditionally relied on relatively clean, uninterrupted uppers. The AJ18’s signature shroud and streamlined construction remain part of the expected design, with the graphics introducing a much busier finish across the lower portion of the shoe.

The accompanying mock-up imagines the pair with a predominantly black build, blue accents and multicolor graphics running across the forefoot. The imagery pictured is speculative and does not represent the final retail design.

Release details for the Air Jordan 18 “Breaking Barriers”, including a date, price and official colorway, have yet to be confirmed but the pair is expected to release during Fall 2027. Expect a clearer look as more information surfaces.
