The Georgetown Hoyas men's basketball team recently received an exclusive gift from Jordan Brand: a special player-edition colorway of the Air Jordan XX3. As a long-standing ally of the Jumpman program, the Hoyas are no strangers to such special treatments, having regularly received player-only editions season after season.

The Georgetown Hoyas' iconic grey and navy colors have often inspired public releases of Air Jordan Retros, further elevating the university's esteemed reputation in the world of collegiate athletics and sneaker culture, but this time, it's the college themselves that gets to benefit.

This exclusive Air Jordan 23 edition is a testament to design excellence. On the lateral side, the sneaker features an embossed depiction of Jack the Bulldog, the Georgetown mascot, rendered in grey suede that seamlessly blends with the shoe's base from heel to toe. The medial side presents a more subdued aesthetic, with a stitched 'G' logo and a diamond pattern accentuating the toe's perforations. An exciting detail lies behind the tongue, where the school's rallying cry, "Hoya Saxa," is inscribed, replacing Michael Jordan’s thumbprint typically found on this model.

These special Air Jordan XX3s will be a significant presence on the court as the Hoyas progress through their basketball season in the coming months. This exclusive design enhances the team's on-court appearance and strengthens the bond between Georgetown and the Jordan Brand legacy.

Enjoy a detailed look at the PE below, and expect to see other Jordan Brand colleges get their special-edition pairs soon.
