Another 90s-Inspired Jordan 34 Low is on the Way
Jordan Brand has never been afraid to look back for design ideas. And although the ultra-futuristic Air Jordan 34 is packed-full of interstellar inspiration, it still comes with subtle nods to its storied history. It’s debut release saw both Nike Air heel and “Flight” tongue branding as a tribute to the Air Jordan 4, it’s 30-year-older brother. But when the low-cut edition of the silhouette hit stores in late April, it came with callouts far more obvious, including retro prints and flecked midsoles from silhouettes past. Now the heritage-inspired thematic returns in a palate more subdued but equally as appealing.
Uppers arrive in patchwork style print that akin to the Air Jordan 10’s inner tongue tag — an ultra ’90s scribble pattern — and is then overlayed by a translucent-white sheath. That same clear cover overlays the rear elephant print pattern, while the other end of the shoe features Air Jordan 7 geometrics in monochrome across the toe. Cement Grey midsoles harken back to the OG Air Jordan 4, and is complemented by jet black accents at the collar, tongue and midfoot eclipse plate. Accents arrive in punchy pinks, vibrant golden yellow and rich royal blue throughout, and the pair is complete with a white rubber outsole.
