Jordan Brand Reveal Five PE Air Jordan 36 Colorways for it’s Competing Athletes
Despite Michael Jordan’s signature sneaker line now heavily affiliated with street style, it has, and always will be a performance-first product. As always, his models have often been a topic for debate — even his early models were touted as ugly — and the Air Jordan 36 will be no different. In fact, it’s already peeved a few old heads who can’t hoop anymore. Despite this, the players love it, and what better way to kick things off for the silhouette than a series of PE colorways for the brand’s participating Olympic athletes.
USA’ Jayson Tatum, Slovenia’s Luka Doncic, host-nation Japan’s Rui Hachimura, China Guo Ailun, and Canada’s Kia Nurse each get their own Olympic PE in their national colors — complete with their logo splayed over the left shroud. Official images for all five pairs have become available, though a release date has only been announced for Tatum’s pair — possibly an indication that these PEs may release locally to their respective athlete’s home countries.
Grab a detailed look a the pairs in question here below, and stay tuned for details on other drops — Jayson Tatum’s pair has already been confirmed for July 24th here on Nike.com
