Air Jordan 36 “Sport Blue” Honors the OG Air Jordan 6

As has been the case for the signature Jordan line over the past few years, the annual model’s design ushers in heavy influence from its 30th-anniversary counterpart. For 2021’s Air Jordan 36, it was the Air Jordan 6 that drove its design, and the OG-inspired colorways followed. Now, after confirmation of the “Infrared” release for MArch 3rd comes a brand-new colorway, the Air Jordan 36 “Sport Blue” — again inspired by an original release from 1991.

Heavily inspired by the Air Jordan 6 of the same name, this release mimics the OG’s blocking in its lightweight, modern material make. Here, uppers of pure white mesh are met with tongues, collars, and pulls of jet black shades, with white midsoles, shroud branding, and heel clips hit with royal blue trim to also honor the OG. The pair is then completed by icy outsoles underfoot — just as the Air Jordan 6 did back in ’91.
