This OG-Inspired Air Jordan 36 Arrives October 22nd
It’s been a tumultuous start for the Air Jordan 36; an unveiling of Olympic PEs, an official launch date, delayed releases, and the obligatory hate from retro heads towards a modern performance model, the newest Signature Air Jordan has seen it all. But now it appears that the model is back on track, with its next delivery set to hit shelves on October 22nd.
Heavily inspired by the Air Jordan 6 “Infrared” / “Varsity Red”, this release mimics the OG’s blocking in it’s lightweight, modern material make. Here, uppers of pure white mesh are met with tongues, collars, and pulls of black, with white midsoles hit with red trim, and icy outsoles underfoot — just as the Air Jordan 6 did back in ’91. Other callouts to Tinker’s retro design come by-way-of Nike Air branding in the back, Air Jordan branding on the flip side of the tongue, and added heel clips, too.
