Air Jordan 5 NFL PE “Football Helmet” is Limited to Just 19 Pairs

It was a little over 12 months ago that we saw Jordan Brand’s NFL athletes receive their very own Air Jordan 5 exclusive — but it’s taken a very long time before we got to see these in fine detail. And today we do, thanks to sample collector English Sole, who gets up close and personal with the ultra-limited player exclusive.

Made to resemble a football helmet, the run was limited to just nineteen pairs. The upper is dressed in textured patent leather to mimic the high-gloss of a helmet’s exterior. The cage and tongue of the shoe are an ultra-reflective multicolor foil, which is unlike any other pair ever made, that nods the optional visor add-on. Midsoles get a red speckled treatment that ties back to the red Jumpman on the lace lock and the red and black rear stripe. The attention to detail is incredible, with traditional #23 on the side panel now stacked vertically to resemble a classic football helmet, whilst the other side shows warning stickers and US flags oft-seen riding the rear-end of certified headwear.
