Air Jordan 7 “Raptors” Returns in 2027
The Air Jordan 7 “Raptors” is set to make its long-awaited return in 2027, marking the first reissue since 2012. Originally released in 1992, the pair holds a special place in Jordan Brand history as one of the defining colorways of Michael Jordan’s seventh signature sneaker—most notably worn during his 1992 championship run. According to Zsneakerheadz.
True to its OG form, the 2027 retro is expected to retain the classic combination of black nubuck uppers with striking red and purple accents across the midsole, branding, and heel tabs. The geometric patterns along the tongue and outsole are also expected to return, capturing the same early ‘90s design essence that made the silhouette iconic.
The Air Jordan 7’s distinct build—stripped of visible Air units and featuring a Huarache-style neoprene sleeve—was a radical shift in Nike’s basketball design language at the time, emphasizing fit and lightweight performance. Its return in “Raptors” form continues Jordan Brand’s ongoing push to celebrate the early chapters of MJ’s legacy through heritage-first retros.
Expect the Air Jordan 7 “Raptors” to release in 2027 through Nike SNKRS and select Jordan Brand retailers. Pricing and specific release details have yet to be confirmed.
