From high-profile collaborations to OG re-runs of the highest caliber, the Air Jordan 7 has celebrated a marvelous 30th anniversary in 2022 — but it’s not done yet. Originally reported as the “Black Olive” or “Cherrywood” colorway, the first and official looks obtained by House of Heat show something a little unexpected; it is, in fact, an alternate version of this year’s “Afrobeats” Air Jordan 7.
Borrowing the same design cues as its tan, black, and purple counterpart, the pair is packed with heritage-inspired prints across the tongue/bootie innard, as well as the quarter and forefoot. Fittingly, these designs link back to the original geometric graphics that Tinker employed back in 1992. color-wise, the pair leans on Bordeaux-like styling of Neutral Olive and Black nubuck, with the Cherrywood and Chutney hues filling out the branding, geometric, and midsole detailing.
The Air Jordan 7 “Olive” will arrive on January 7th at select Jumpman cohorts and Nike.comfor $210.
