Billie Eilish Unveils Co-Branded Air Jordan 4 across Europe
Billie Eilish is currently on the European leg of her Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour. Although a sizable number of headlines have recently surfaced regarding comments she made while in Ireland, the Los Angeles-native has taken the sneaker-obsessed corner of the internet by storm by unveiling her very own co-branded Air Jordan 4 retros.
A first-look at the most recent pair arrived at the end of an Instagram carousel dedicated to her six nights performing at London's O2 Arena. The 23-year-old pop star has yet to disclose specifics about the Air Jordan retro: Could it be a custom or a collaboration scheduled for public release? Signs point to the former given that Eilish has worn other color makeups in cities like Barcelona, but she could also simply be in the sample stage of an impending drop.
No stranger to Jordan Brand, Eilish previously worked on the Air Jordan 1 KO and Air Jordan 15. Although her diehard fans quickly flocked to purchase both styles, each silhouette is a tougher sell than Tinker Hatfield's beloved AJ4 design. Eilish has been vocal about gravitating towards "ugly," unconventional footwear. The Jordan 4 isn't regarded as such, but her unreleased collaboration applies an eyebrow-raising blue-and-red plaid pattern to the sneaker. Whatever elements of the popular "Black Cat" Jordan 4 appear on the pair are overshadowed by the tartan-like print that takes over plastic eyelets, mesh windows, midsoles, and the Jumpman-branded spine. Her stick figure logo appears in patch form on the lateral hind-foot.
Enjoy a first-look below and make sure to stay tuned for official Nike.com/Jordan release details. If the Billie Eilish-branded Jordan 4 drops, it's possible the sneaker arrives by December to coincide with the pop star's birthday.
