    Wow.

Millad Mesriani, a cancer patient, recently had the opportunity through the Make a Wish Foundation live out every sneakerhead’s dream. He got to team up with Jordan Brand’s NRG team in Beaverton to design his very own exclusive Air Jordan 1 PE.

Millard took to the ‘gram yesterday to share both the sneaker and his inspiring story:

Idk where to start. About 2 years ago, I was diagnosed with a cancer that had never been seen before. Throughout all the physical and emotional suffering, the last thing I wanted was for strangers to feel bad for me just by looking at me. Instead of hiding my bald head under a beanie, I embraced it. I found confidence through my sense of style. As long as I had my new Jordan’s on, everything would be okay. Sneakers and fashion became a way for me to escape the reality of cancer. Now fast forward a few years, I have my own pair of Air Jordan 1s that have never been seen before… This is much more than just a sneaker. To me, this is a symbol of my fight. These sneakers are the literal light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you so much to everyone at Jordan brand for making this happen. Designing this Air Jordan 1 with the NRG team in Beaverton was by far the best experience of my life. You guys have treated me like family and I can’t thank you guys enough. The shoe turned out greater than I ever imagined. I am so grateful for everyone at Make-A-Wish foundation for making any of this possible. Thanks for making my dream and thousands of other dreams come true every year 💙

Apart from the inspirational story, the sneaker is absolutely incredible. Rocking “Black Toe” color blocking, it’s standout is the metallic blue Swooshes and collar, which is matched but a blue outsole. It’s deep-debossed Jordan Wings logo is paired with a sword detailing on the lateral heel, and it arrives with golden, 3D hang tags, one matching the sword detailing, the other a Jumpman.

All we can say is good for you, brother. Fkn pumped for you!! All the best with for future — perhaps a gig with the NRG team is on the cards after this effort!
