Simplistic Six.
Sometimes you can make a statement by simply saying nothing at all. And while the Air Jordan 6 definitely makes a statement, sometimes it’s colorways can speak a little too loudly.
It is, after all, a complex design, with busy detailing throughout. It lends itself to simple color blocking options, unlike the two proceeding silhouettes in the Jordan series. But the colorway looks it’s best when it simplified even more. Now, I’ve written a lot about how all-tonal colorways make a strong impact on any retro, but sometime you just need that pop of contrast.
Today’s concept brings that mentality, but it also introduces a Royal Blue to the suede upper and entire midsole/ The contrasting white and translucent-white throughout gives it just enough contrast to pop alongside the underlying 3M.
Anything more would be a little too much.
Moreover, we think it’s time for some royal colorways to drop. Hell — just even some more Blue Js. It’s not something we get a lot of, unless it’s UNC-inspired. So, what do y’all think of today’s Concept? We love to hear your feedback, so drop us a comment below!
