Marshall Bruce Mathers III—better known as international superstar "Eminem"—has long used his fame to help others. Since 2002, the artist's main philanthropic efforts have been seen through the Marshall Mathers Foundation, an organization founded to support disadvantaged and at-risk youth in Detroit, Michigan—the same place in which Em' was formed.

Although the Marshall Mathers Foundation offers a number of programs, one of the recurring ways in which it raises funds is sneaker auctions. Eminem has been a fan of footwear—in particular Air Jordans and Nike Air Maxes—since before the stardom. Over the last 20 years, the Detroit-representative has built a strong relationship with NIKE, Inc., granting him exclusive editions of popular styles like the fan-favorite Air Jordan 4 and Air Max 90. Along the way, he's also added pairs from PUMA and adidas to his personal collection.

Now, Mr. Mathers is working with Beverly Hills-based auction house Julien's Auctions to auction off over 100 different sneakers. All of them have been signed by Eminem.

According to Julien's Auctions, this auction "is the largest single-sale collection of Eminem material ever offered at public auction." All proceeds from the event will benefit the Marshall Mathers Foundation.

The auction supporting Eminem's Marshall Mathers Foundation goes live on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 10 a.m. PDT. Interested parties must register to bid via the Julien's Auctions website.

Ahead, you'll find some featured highlights from Em's personal collection—pairs that could be yours for anywhere between $250 to upwards of $10,000.

Rick Williams, Detroit-native and creative storyteller, led a media preview for the Eminem sneaker auction at Julien's Auctions. In a brief, remote conversation with House of Heat°, Williams spoke to Em's staying power, the Detroit spirit, and importance of the Marshall Mathers Foundation:

"There's a grit that we have...a hustle...because we're not a big market," shared Williams when asked what sets a Detroit entrepreneur apart from any other. "A lot of the time, the news talks about the city in a slighted way," so it's important homegrown talent challenges that reputation with their relentlessness and discipline, he continued.

When speaking about why he thinks Eminem's sneaker legacy still resonates after 20 years, the former Burn Rubber visionary boils it down to two things: a greatness on par with Michael Jordan's and "doing high-quality projects with intention."

"[I was] taken aback [when I first met Em] because of how quiet and humble he is in real life," Williams shared about the artist.

Although bidders will have a chance at owning rare, autographed sneakers from Eminem's personal collection, Williams emphasizes that the Julien's Auctions event is bigger than the leather and rubber found across the 100s of lots: "It's about about these sneakers—it's about the work that does down in Detroit. [The Marshall Mathers Foundation] works with a bunch of different organizations...30-50 orgs throughout the years...supporting literacy, at-risk youth, sobriety programs," and more. All proceeds raised through the Aug. 25-held auction, then, will go towards important causes.

If you miss out on your preferred lot (which includes the Eminem-beloved Air Max Wright franchise), hold tight as a modified "Encore" Air Jordan 4 is believed to be releasing in Spring 2027.
