Believe it or not, there was a time when hybrid Jordans were a hot commodity. Now they’re unfairly ridiculed for ‘not being an OG’ — like it makes you a better person to strictly rock retros or something. Now it’s back for its 15th anniversary, with a slew of OG and new colorways alike. This next-up “White Cement” Jordan Dub Zero may not be an OG of the silhouette, but it’s derived from 1989’s classic Air Jordan 4 of the same name.
First releasing back in 2005, the laser-decorated hybrid was the very first retro mix-up of its kind, incorporating design elements from the Air Jordan 4, Air Jordan 6, Air Jordan 11, Air Jordan 12, Air Jordan 13, Air Jordan 15, Air Jordan 17 and Air Jordan 20. That’s a hell of a lot of shoes in one! Now it arrives in the classic WC color scheme, pairing a predominately white leather upper with hits of black, Cement Grey and red throughout. Sole units are a straight rip from the Air Jordan 4 — save the Jumpman branding — and it’s shroud overlays is etched in grey design. AJ4-like red Jumpmen grace the heels, and the pair is completed with matching detail on the insoles.
Take a look at the “White Cement” Jordan Dub Zero in detail below, and look for these to hit select Jumpman joints and Nike.com over the coming weeks. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on their release over on our official Twitter account — so make sure you give us a follow.
