Late last year, we saw the return of the Don C-designed Jordan Legacy 312, with the hybrid Air Jordan/Nike Air Alpha Force Low design slowly working its way back into the mainstream. Its last effort came via the brand’s Chinese New Year collection, and it looks like it will be back for Summer in its low-cut option, too, with not one, not two, but three new colorways of the model appearing over the weekend. The first of which is this new Jordan Legacy 312 Low “Chicago Flag” which nods Don C’s hometown, and Michael Jordan’s legacy in the Windy City.
Anchored by a “Black Cement”-look, the pair’s mix of smooth and lightly-tumbled leathers goes almost unnoticed given its striking surround of University Blue, rich reds, and contrasting cement prints, all of which look to Chicago’s famous three-star flag for inspiration. The forefoot strap, nylon tongue, and laces all follow the upper’s lead in jet black hues, with liners joining forefoot Nike branding and medial-side Swooshes in red render. The flip side of the shoe shows a uni blue check, with the tongue Wings motif and insoles color-matched, too. The pair is then completed by a striking white midsole, with all four of the pair’s main colors coming together on the icy-blue outsole to complete the design.
