Luka Dončić isn't new to the league, but his recent move to the Los Angeles Lakers has served as a sort of "second wind." In addition to putting up numbers on the hardwood, the Slovenian superstar has taken command of the basketball footwear market, which will soon see the introduction of the Jordan Luka .77 silhouette.
Inspired by Dončić's upbringing in Central Europe, the performance design has been developed specifically for the rigors of outdoor play. Although his professional career has allowed him to train and perform on courts of the highest caliber, the former Dallas Maverick learned the game on public grounds. His Luka .77 (which draws inspiration from his jersey number) delivers a reliable setup for those—especially kids—who also predominantly play on the harsher outdoor courts.
The silhouette leverages a full-length dual-density foam that features a firmer outer layer to protect a softer, more responsive interior. Seven strategic cutouts at the heel help deliver a comfortable ride and plush landing to cater to the outdoors.

Like the mainline Jordan Luka 4 signature model, the Luka .77 features Jordan Brand's proprietary IsoPlate and a Nike Air Zoom unit. Both elements work in-tandem to provide stability and a responsive underfoot sensation. High-abrasion mesh across the upper rounds out the package, ensuring breathability isn't sacrificed in the same of durability.
"The Luka .77 is for the kids — and for anyone who hoops outdoors," shared Dončić in an official announcement for the shoe. "When I was young, I used to play mostly outside but didn’t have footwear made for that environment, so I wanted to make a shoe for the next generation, giving them a tool to help them develop their game wherever they lace up."
Pairs of the new Luka .77 will begin to roll out globally via Jordan.com and select retail partners on Tuesday, April 8. Inaugural colorways include a 'Black/Barely Green/Hyper Pink' style called 'Space Navigator,' and a more understated gold-and-green 'Dongdan' option. Enjoy an early look at both styles below.
