"Mocha" Makes its Way to the Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low
After a retro of the original colorway and a collaboration with Jayson Tatum, the oft-overlooked Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low from 2002 continues its newfound momentum in the spring season with an array of fresh colorways, including this striking Mocha and Black variant for the upcoming months.
First launched in 2002, the low-top design paid tribute to Michael Jordan's inaugural signature sneaker and gained popularity at the century's onset, well before the emergence of hybrid models in the sneaker world. The shoe incorporates numerous design elements inspired by the Air Jordan 1, such as the toe box and prominent debossed Wings logos. Modern features like unstructured collars and updated sole units lend the sneaker its distinctive early 2000s charm.
The forthcoming colorway takes inspiration from the recently unveiled "Chicago" edition, showcasing a black and white base with a splash of color — this time opting for a subtle mocha shade and replacing black leathers with a timely nubuck finish.
Take a closer look at the monochromatic Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low "Mocha" just below, and anticipate their arrival at select Jumpman retailers in 2023 for $110.
