As summer heat engulfs the city, the energetic pulse of China's streetball season takes over Dongdan, one of Beijing's most popular courts. Home to a thriving community of basketball enthusiasts, Dongdan is the epicenter of Chinese streetball, where players of all ages and skill levels converge to test their mettle in intense, high-stakes games. The season is characterized by its raw display of talent, unfiltered passion, and the infectious spirit of competition. From rising local stars to visiting international players, the Dongdan streetball season is a vibrant testament to China's growing love affair with basketball and reflects the sport's universal appeal. Once again, Jordan Brand is set to commemorate the occasion with an exclusive footwear collection. The lineup features the Air Jordan 5 Low as its marquee offering, accompanied by the equally intriguing Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low "Dongdan".Maintaining a similar color palette as the aforementioned Air Jordan 5 Low, the Jordan Nu Retro 1 Low "Dongdan" presents a unique blend of black, white, lilac, and pink, albeit in distinctly different ratios. The design begins with a bright foundation of clean white leather uppers and profile overlays, contrasted by black accents on the heel and toe caps as well as the liners. Lavender-hued heels and matching jelly rubber outsoles add a dash of color, echoed by the relocated Wings emblem on the profile wall. The usual location of the Wings emblem, the heel, features a pink Dongdan motif, harmonized by similar accents on the tongue and insole. The design is finalized with a unique hangtag inspired by an access pass, giving the pair a distinct association with the summer event.
