Jordan Point Lane “Black Ice” Arrives July 23rd
History has shown that almost everything in the Jordan Brand footwear catalog has, in some way, been inspired by the brand’s retro lineage. If it’s not evident by now, the new Jordan Point Lane makes it obvious. The new lifestyle option from Mike (named after his Chicago mansion) continues the brand’s penchant for borrowing elements from its most popular sneakers in both colorway and design.
Though not directly influenced by any OG in terms of colorway, the design of the black and ice-blue Jordan Point Lane “Black Ice” houses a handful of retrospective cues. Ballistic mesh uppers and tongue tags of the Air Jordan 11 are found on the mid panels, whilst rear tabs and heel wrap overlays are siphoned from the Air Jordan 3. Midfoot overlays, midsoles, and outsoles are derived from the revered Air Jordan 6 – as is the colorway. Hefty Air Max units in the back are nothing new for Jordan lifestyle options either, but given the pair’s heavier focus on Air Jordan legacy, we’re tipping that these may provide greater appeal to fans of the brand.
Grab an official look at the Jordan Point Lane “Black Ice” here below, and look for these to land alongside a handful of retro-inspired colorways (like this just-revealed “Infrared”) over the Summer.
