Last seen at retailers back in 2018, the Jordan Pro Strong will return again in 2021 with what is likely to be a solid run of colorways new and old — including this brand new Jordan Pro Strong “Cherry” iteration that channels the Air Jordan 13 of the same name.
First released in 1998 as a big man’s model, it became one of the most popular team sneakers, with an in-line style that was backed up by added performance for the league’s hefty players through the use of carbon fiber and Zoom Air cushioning. Like the women’s model released around the same time, it’s quite obviously heavy on Air Jordan DNA, taking several key elements from the Air Jordan 13 and loading them with bulls-inspired colorways that fit the mold.
Here we find an all-white leather build with Cherry Red suede midsole work, and color-matched hits at the collar, upper eyelet, and forefoot badging. Black outlines dress the stitch patterned shroud overlays, while also providing the sneaker’s tongue and rear branding. Completing the pair is a white outsole beneath that hosts herringbone traction pads of black, and showcases the aforementioned carbon fiber shank through the center.
An official Nike.com releaserelease date for the Jordan Pro Strong “Cherry” is not yet known, but the sneaker is likely to launch over the Spring/Summer seasons. While you wait for more info, enjoy an official look at the pair here below.
