The Jordan Zion 2 “Pelicans” Drops November 17

After a rocky start to his career, it appears to be full steam ahead for Zion Williamson as he undertakes his second season with the New Orleans Pelicans. Equally formidable is his signature Jordan sneaker line, which has been headstrong in its schedule of colorways and releases – and it’s not shy about experimentation. This new Jordan Zion 2 “Pelicans” is an exemplar of that, taking a staple concept of the athlete’s franchise colors, but delivering it with atypical blocking and varsity-inspired motifs not often seen outside of the brand’s college PEs.

Here, the pair looks to a clean sail upper of mesh and perforated leather, with alternating navy and red working through the tongues, collars, liners, and heels. The latter serves up Jumpman and ZW motifs in plush chenille; the tongue sports Zion’s logo in the same finish. The team themes are then continued underfoot through a sail, navy, red, and gum sole unit that completes the design.
