Oh these different-different.
Nike’s concerted efforts on their deconstructed, “Inside Out” and “Vandalized” concepts has seen the brand transform some of its most storied silhouettes. From the recently revealed, split-Swoosh branded Air Force 1 Lows and Foamposite Ones, deconstructed vibes have created a talking point for sneakerheads around the globe. But we don’t think any pair will garner more discussion than this upcoming Vandal, the Nike Vandalized LX.
Similar to PSNY’s take on the Air Force 1 High in 2018, the pair removes almost all of the external design cues and paneling, in favor of an indistinct two-piece upper, which appears to be held together by the least amount of stitching possible. But, though layering of suedes and well-placed incisions, the silhouette still holds its recognition. The beefed-up midsole arrived bulkier than its sleek predecessors, and the shoe’s natural color palette is boldly broken up by a red insole/outsole on the left shoe and a blue insole/outsole on the right — similar to that seen on the other Split-Swoosd-branded Foamposites and Air Force 1s.
