Nina Chanel Abney’s OG-inspired Air Jordan 2 collaboration won’t be a solo release, with the revelation of an accompanying Low option also expected to arrive this July.

The Chicago-born, New York-based artist resumes her stripped-back, vector-like build to keep the pairs consistent. Here, though, she swaps out the OG-inspired red for Malachite Green, with simple white leathers, neutral suedes, and reptilian-textured overlays all present. Keeping the sole units intact, the upper is overhauled into a simplified version. Heel overlays are oversized and extended, with ridging to its superior removed and replaced by a suede patch. Shrunken is the pair’s midfoot overlays and toe caps, instead opting for a shortened suede toe and one-piece leather toe/mid-panel
