Air Jordan 1 Mid “Champ Colors” is Coming Soon!
The Denver Bronco’s Championship win in 2016’s Superbowl 50 was the feather in the cap for Peyton Manning’s future Hall of Fame resume. The widely-loved Manning’s underdog Denver team shut down the heavily-favored Carolina Panthers led by regular-season MVP (with a QB rating of 99.4) Cam Newton. The historic moment was celebrated by Nike with a special Nike ID Dunk High and Low program, in which you could customize your own sneaker in the champ’s colors. Since sneakers were rarely done in those hues, and given the prominence of the pack, the “Champ Colors” name has since carried over into any orange and navy colored release. This Air Jordan 1 Mid “Champ Colors” is the next to do so, taking on the essence of the collection through Denver’s white, navy and orange hues.
While the white leather base is nothing out of the ordinary, its use of patent leather overlays, collars, and Checks elevate the pair above your standard general release. Navy engulfs the toe, eyestays, heel, and collar, while an awesome shade of orange arrives at the ankle flaps, Swoosh, outsole, and — intriguingly — at the nylon tongue.
