Having a long-running affair with the game of Basketball, it was only a matter of time before French label Pigalle linked up with Nike, Inc.’s most famous hardwood division; Jordan Brand. After all, the brand has been chipping away a Nike and Converse collabs for years, with head designer Stéphane Ashpool’s F&F Jordan Protro-Max 720 a few years back edging ever closer to an official release. Now it appears to be one step closer with the brand revealing multiple solid-color suede and velvet-clad options of the Air Jordan 1 Mid during its FW21 runway.
Ashpool has revealed the pairs, each transformed with the soft and luxurious material gripping and hugging the upper — with the magenta version featuring the material spilling down onto the midsole. Olives, greys, and blues are also revealed, which further hint at the seasonal color palette that the Paris-based brand possibly has in store for its upcoming Fall/Winter 2021 selection. It’s hard to tell if these will result in a first retail Pigalle x Air Jordan collaboration, but it’s sure looking like we’ll get one soon regardless.
In other Air Jordan 1 news, the official images for the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Neutral Grey” have arrived.
