Washington Wizards Power Forward Rui Hacimura has been the centerpiece of the brand’s efforts in Japan, with the big man now reaching a similar level of status to Chinas Guo Ailin in his respective country. A big part of that plan revolves around special-edition colorways designed with Rui in mind. With the big fella already delivering a handful of Jordans earlier this year, he now joins the likes of fellow Jumpman athletes like Jayson Tatum for another, the Rui Hachimura x Air Jordan 37 that once again pays tribute to the Forward’s heritage.

Though no specific design inspiration has been unveiled, it’s clear that — like his many Air Jordan designs past — the pair draws from his Japanese bloodline. From rich red uppers and jade-tinted cracked midsoles, glistening weathered collars, and snakeskin prints on the midfoot shank, the pair is packed to the brim full of fine details. There’s special graphic insoles, and special jade-look tongue badges that rear Rui’s kanji-styled logo, too.

You should expect to see the Rui Hachimura x Air Jordan 37 land before year’s end.
