Jordan Brand Unveil the Two Union LA x Air Jordan 1s

Storm Blues and Breds walk into a bar . . .

Union Los Angeles has teamed up with Jordan Brand to design two of their very own Air Jordan 1 collaborations, and the both look very familiar.

The fist Union x Air Jordan 1 looks to have sliced the OG Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe” and attached the throat of a Neutral Grey in some kind of pigeon-rat hybrid Bart Simpson would be proud of. The second has done the same thing, but with the OG Storm Blue Low, with the upper of the OG Bred.

To their credit, they have utilized new leathers on the uppers, which now have thick yellowish exposed edges, as well as exaggerated yellow stitching on the join. Speaking of exaggeration, the Wings ankle logo has also been enlarged, and they’ve gone the whole hog with two toned laces, each section matching their corresponding sneaker’s inspiration.

In addition to the shoes, the Union x Air Jordan Collection will include a matching apparel collection including pants, t-shirts, shorts, hoodies, and more. Each item is said to have been washed and distressed to be period piece as a nod to the theme of the collaboration — we’re waiting on looks for these. As for a release date? The entire collection will hit stores on November 17th.
