New Looks // Air Jordan 1 Low SE “Pomegranate”

People, I know it’s a little early to start thinking about Valentine’s Day gifts for your better half, but trust me, you do not want to forget. And if you’re stuck for ideas, then this new Air Jordan 1 Low “Pomegranate” might just be the perfect way to ‘shoe’ how much you care.

Tradition has shown us that annual Valentine Day drops have almost exclusively been pained in pinks and reds, which raises the question on this release — given the timing of the sample pairs shows and the impending release of the matching Mid-cut — one would naturally assume that the two would go hand-in-hand. Though like the Mid, there the pair is void of any visible callouts to the loved-up day, it definitely oozes a V-Day vibe.

A perfect match for the accompanying Mid, the pair features the same red-on-red hues with soft leather uppers and PVC-like overlays, but it flips the hues, with overlays now rocking Uni Red, and uppers of the titular hue. There’s an added Jelly Swoosh not seen o the mid, but everything else, from the tonal red branding to the two-tone sole unit underfoot, remains the same.
