Where to Buy the “Candy Cane” Air Jordan 14
Jordan Brand athlete Richard ‘Rip’ Hamilton will be celebrated by the Jumpman in 2019, with the retrospective release of one of his Air Jordan 14 PEs from his college playing days.
Details have emerged of a PE pair, worn by Rip during UConn’s 1999 NCAA title win, which is similar in nature to the “Candy Cane” Jordan 14 (pictured) but will sport a few extra details. 2019 marks the 20th anniversary of the Huskies’ title success, so we’re predicting Jordan Brand may have a few other celebratory pieces in store for Rip, too. Sneaker-leaker @zSneakerheadz has confirmed that the release will take place on April 6th for $190.
Update 03.31.19 // After an early official look at the pair, Jordan Brand has unveiled the pair as part of their Summer ’19 collection — with no word of Rip Hamilton to be found on the official website’s description, nor on the sneaker itself. But it does serve as a tribute to the sneaker’s 20th anniversary, one that’s been comprehensively overshadowed by the Air Jordan 4’s 30th birthday. Take in a detialed in-hand look at the pair below, before scrolling down to the official images. Take a peep at the retailers stocking the drop below to help plan out your cop come April 6th.
