A Second Winterized GORE-TEX Air Jordan 1 Element Appears in “Light Bone”
Winterized Air Jordans have been a frequent player for the brand over the past few years, with the Air Jordan 12, Air Jordan 4, and scrapped Air Jordan 8 appearing over the past handful of years. Now it seems that the brand will continue to deliver options for treacherous weather, with not one but two options of the new Winterized Air Jordan 1 Element / GORE-TEX silhouette for the back-end of 2021.
Leaked by sneaker sleuth @zSneakerheadz, the new model is expected to receive a GORE-TEX overhaul, with waterproof and likely insulated textiles working with leathers across the upper — and that’s reflected here in the increased $200 price point. Arriving two ways, here we take a look at the option in Sail/Light Bone, mocked up accurately by the source. It is expected to arrive with the waterproof fabrication at the toe and tongue, the former sporting GORE-TEX brand detail. Overlays and mid panels arrive in smooth bone, sail, and grey leathers, with black liners, laces, and tongue branding providing some contrast pops. More GORE-TEX branding graces the back panel in a terracotta-like red — a color that’s also found on the Wings logo at the ankle.
