Brooklyn-based creative agency MSCHF is certainly living up to its name, with the precarious purveyors of footwear are about to embark on another contentious sneaker, the MSCHF “Super Normal”
Widely known for breaking the internet and encroaching on copyright laws, the brand goes big on its vision. and while their legal team may well still be in the midst of cleaning up the dispute with Vans over Tyga’s “Wavy Baby” sneakers, they may well be receiving yet another cease and desist from the Swoosh for their next sneaker, with looks to warp a version of the iconic Air Force 1.
Though there are a lot of changes made, the silhouette is notoriously out-of-bounds — just ask John Geiger.
Twisting it in the MSCHF way, the whole upper has been somewhat distorted in a wavy shape akin to Tyga’s aforementioned collaboration, with each panel being curved asymmetrically. The sole unit’s tread also received the same treatment. From there, MSCHF put their own brandmarks at the tongue, heel, and twisted dubraes to round out the design.
The MSCHF ‘Super Normal’ is scheduled for a drop on June 23 and will retail for $145.
