With Sean Wotherspoon and atmos’ epic corduroy-covered creation on the way and the full-circle link-up with the sneaker’s creator Shigeyuki Mitsui and mita earlier this year, the transcending trainer is setting new trends in 2020. Its in-line offerings are also bringing new bravado, with new colorways like this ASICS GEL-Lyte 3 “Barcode” bearing a remarkable likeness to that of a marquee collaborate effort. It is, of course, a standard release, but It comes packed-full of elements you’d typically find on partnered pairs: gridded translucent uppers and tongues, the use of a high-fashion black and white palate, and oversized graphics that are reminiscent of OFF-WHITE clothing prints from late last decade.
