Where to Buy the Casablanca New Balance XC-72 Collection

Just as they did with the 327 silhouette, New Balance had called upon Casablanca to collaborate on the debut release of their all-new XC-72 sneaker. It’s fitting, too, considering that both the 327 and XC-72 were designed by NB’s own Charlotte Lee. The silhouette’s shared DNA is evident, too, with retro runners at the forefront of design, with modern tweaks to the sole unit that are reminiscent of vintage moto racing footwear.

The pair teased earlier this year by brand collaborations manager Joe Grondin showed Casablanca’s signature construction perforated white leather with accents of orange and green will now be joined by a second — a DHL-like effort with golden yellow and red accents atop the aforementioned white leather base. The new teaser image, which hints at a proximal release, shows the back-end in detail for the first time, including its sacai-like heel protrusion, wavy rubber heel clips, and dual-layered suede heel overlays. High-rise exposed-foam tongues present co-branded embroidery at the front, while driver-inspired toes meet retro runner suede overlays at the forefoot.
