New Balance Adds Plaid Patchwork to the 992

With the successful relaunch of the 992, it’d be a shame for New Balance to reserve it for the rare and exclusive drops. And although it started that way, thanks to KITH and All-Star weekend exclusives, it now looks like its full steam ahead for the silhouette, with not one, not two, but 10 new general release colorways having leaked over the last few days — including this new “Plaid” New Balance 992

The most unique offering from the silhouette so far, the pair works through three different plaid uppers; green in the rear, red at the vamp, and a combination of the two at the toe. Overlays arrive in navy, grey, and cherrywood, with vachetta tan later eyelets elevating the appeal up a notch. From there, things remain relatively simple, with black liners and outsoles, a split grey/white midsole, and a classic navy and silver midfoot motif to complete the design.
