New Balance XC-72 “Dry Sage” and “Washed Henna” Drop October 23rd

There’s a familiar feel to the New Balance XC-72, a sneaker that has recently debuted but is rife with energy. It draws parallels to the widely-loved 327 silhouette, a sneaker that shares similar sportswear DNA. It should come as no surprise that both were both the 327 and XC-72 were designed by the same person — Charlotte Lee — and both were catapulted into favor through Casablanca. Naturally, its mainline releases have hit the ground running with it’s next two pairs in “Dry Sage” and “Washed Henna” set to keep the train rolling.

Both set atop sail and gum sole units, the mesh and suede uppers are rendered mostly in tonal shades of green and red respectively. Oversized midfoot N motifs rock a classic tumbled white leather and are matched at the liner in hue. Adding some diversity in color – aside from the aforementioned sole units – is a medial stripe-to-tongue tint of baby blue and sherbert orange respectively to complete the designs.

After releasing at select retailers in Europe last month, a Stateside release for the New Balance XC-72 “Dry Sage” and “Washed Henna” duo for 10 am ET on October 23.
