Korea’s Slow Steady Club Deliver Two Near-Perfect New Balance 990v5 Colorways

Korean purveyors of fashion and streetwear Slow Steady Club have be tapped by Boston’s New Balance for a two-pair pack of 990v5 informed by their long-running HOTEL990 collaborative project.

The subtle brown hues and muted oranges serve as a direct nod to their fictional hotel, with staple grey mesh uppers and creamy sail midsoles adding retro flair to the pair. The accompanying release said to be inspired by paper, is delivered in an unassuming bone, beige, and white scheme, again working through mesh and pigskin selections. Both pairs come complete with SSC branding on the lateral ankle and arrive under a quite fitting title of being ‘not perfect, but very close’ — and we’d have to agree.

Grab an official look at the Slow Steady Club x New Balance 990v5 collection here below, and those living in South Korea can pick up pairs from March 25, directly from SSC locations and NewBalance.com — a wider global rollout has not yet been announced.
