Nike Air Max 97 “Infrared” to Release Alongside the OG Air Max 90 on Nov. 9

When the Nike Sportswear team revived the OG Air Max 90 “Laser Blue”earlier this year, they also allowed its striking color palette to grace a bevy of alternate Air Max silhouettes — including the Air Max 97. Now, as it appears, the division will be doing the same thing for the long-awaited release of the Air Max 90 “Infrared” — aka “Radiant Red” for the OGs — with a matching Air Max 97 set to touch down the same day.

Official imagery has revealed that the pair will sport a much darker aesthetic than its OG counterpart, with jet black mesh uppers offset by Wolf Grey overlays. The titular “Radiant Red” pops off the monochrome base, with hits at the tongue, medial overlay, mid-panel Swooshes, and Air supports, the latter coming encased in a classic white midsole/black rubber outsole combo. Completing the design is a set of slim rope laces and a set of striking red insoles.
