LeBron speaks about his 15th signature sneaker
Yesterday we got a look at a few new colorways for the LeBron 15 at KITH’s NYFW showing, and I will admit, I was a little harsh on the King’s 15th signature sneaker in the beginning, but yesterday showed me that it is pretty versatile and will look amazing in new colorways. It’s not your typical baseball ball sneaker either – I think that was the hardest part for a lot of people to overcome. You can expect more tonal colorways this year from the 15 which will bring in a lifestyle feel to the shoe – but it still is a performance-first sneaker.
“This is my favorite shoe to date, the performance benefits and sophisticated look make this shoe a force on and off the court.”
The shoe’s key innovations include a next-generation Flyknit construction that provides strategic stretch, a locked-in fit and durability. Underfoot is a fully articulated cushioning system that combines Max Air and Zoom Air units, while a full-bootie construction offers a secure, one-to-one fit.
“The number-one thing people should know about the LeBron 15 is that this new Nike Flyknit is something that’s never been done in a performance shoe”
It looks great, too. Since Jason and I started working on the LeBron 7, we have always talked about how we not only want to have the top, top, top notch in performance, we want style, as well. We have a desire to create shoes that makes all people feel good when they put it on.”
