NBA x Nike Blazer Mid “Trailblazers” Releases in October

With Nike and the NBA joining forces to celebrate the league’s 75th season, and with several instances of franchise-themed releases, it would make absolute sense that the Swoosh’s first-ever basketball sneaker would join the collection. And, given that the sneaker design is named after Nike’s hometown team, it’s only fitting that they get the first colorway, too. And here it is, the NBA x Nike Blazer Mid “Trailblazers”

Though no official affiliation has been made with the franchise, its black, white, and red arrangement leave no room for ambiguity. Here, the pair relies upon an upper constructed of leather split here between heavily tumbled off-white on the lateral, and smooth black on the medial. Eyestay overlays alternate for contrast, as do Swooshes, though the medial side prefers the franchise’s bright crimson red. Toe caps and tongues arrive in black, while the toe and forefoot overlays opt for white — as too does the midsole. Underfoot, the pair is struck with a bright red tread, and the pair is completed with a handful of official NBA designs, including the revamped 75th Anniversary logo on the lateral ankle, special branded tongue tags, and diamond anniversary dubraes.
