Originally released in 1989 as the Nike Air Flight (’89 was added to their name upon their first retro release,) the pair rose to popularity on both the hardwood and the streets, seen on the feet of notable cultural figures like Scottie Pippen to Eazy-E. (below. The silhouette was last seen at retail in 2015, and now, just four years later, it will be returning for Fall in both OG and new colorways alike.
The Air Jordan 4-soled sneaker will be returning in its OG White/Red/Grey colorway, as seen on Pip’s feet above, and it will be joined by two new renditions: a Black/Royal and an Autumn-ready Beige/Gum. The two former pairs will arrive in the OG makeup of smooth leathers and mesh tongues, while the Beige pairing boasts a seasonal mix of suede and nubuck. Release dates for all three pairs are yet to be announced, but you will find them hitting select stores like 43einhalb and Nike.com over the coming weeks.
