New Air Force 1 Nods 1980s Tropical Resorts

Through a year of delays, lockdowns, cancellations, and COVID, not many things have remained as constant and dependable as the evergreen Air Force 1. It’s been business as usual for the staple silhouette, and as we head into 2020 you can expect much of the same — which really means you should expect anything and everything from the often exploratory sneaker. This next release, though, is a subtle one, with a grade school-exclusive serving a tasteful nod to ’80s and ’90s resorts. The white-based release arrives equipped with the era’s oft-seen lineal sunset motif in pastels at the tongue — a style seen at many a tropical hotel in the late 1980s. Elsewhere you’ll find soft-tinted accents, including pale purple nubuck rear overlays, 3D-embroidered Nike cursive in sherbert orange, and soft aqua accents at the midsole heel. Completing the design is a glistening mid-blue Swoosh set that’s at all likely a nod to the ocean views from the aforementioned resorts.

Nike.com rollout for these vacay-vibin’ kicks is not yet known, s in the meantime, grab an eyeful of the official images ahead, and be sure to give us a follow on the official HOUSE OF HEAT Twitter account for any and all updates on the release.
