Event cancelations in 2020 have left the entire state of the globe in a state of mild depression, with no sports, concerts, or even birthday gatherings to help us through what has already been a pretty shitty year. The biggest postponement came when the IOC announced that the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games will be moved to next year, amid fears that COVID-19 could strike down athletes, officials, and spectators. Footwear brands who celebrate notable events like these have been left inundated with celebratory stock as their plans to honor the Olympiad were foiled. Regardless of the situation though, brands continue to punch out the Olympic drops as if the schedule was right on cue. And now we can expect another — a familiar one — with 2004’s “Olympic” Air Force 1 Low set to return to retailers this Summer.

Like many releases for the even, the pair takes on direct influence from iconic Olympic rings logo, paired here with another common thematic from Olympic packs — Silver Medal metallics. Elsewhere you’ll find black mesh mid panels and tongues, black leather eyelets, and matching black hits on the midsole stitching and across the full-lenght rubber outsole. Grab a detailed look at a pair from 2004 here below, and be stay tuned into our official Twitter account as we receive more information related to its 2020 reissue.

In other canceled-event offerings, Nike’s 2020 EYBL collection has been revealed, featuring a Tie-Dye Kobe 5 Protro and KD 13.
