A classic silhouette like the Air Force 1 has naturally lent itself to experimentation. The clean lines, simplistic design, and far-reaching popularity can enable Nike to test out pretty much anything — including completely overhauled designs. The Air Force 1 Shadow is just one of those, and now, just as it recently appeared on the Nike Blazer, will also be testing out TPU as it tacks on vibrant yellow Swoosh and heel overlays in the polyurethane textile.

Aside from the obvious add-on and the well-documented redesign it rests atop, the pair is as basic as it gets; all white leather uppers come complete with tonal overlays and color-match sole units, while its tongues and liners, too, arrive in white. Tacked-on Swooshes and rear overlays arrive in a yellow-tinted TPU plastic, while the tongue and heel embroidery indulge in a tonal yellow hue to provide the pair’s only color deviations.

A release date for the Nike Air Force 1 Shadow TPU is yet to be revealed, but you should expect to see these hit stores over the next few months.
