Available Now // Nike Gets Hardcore with Heavy Metal-Inspired Nike Air Max 270 React
The dual-tech Nike Air Max 270 React wave continues to roll on, this time finding inspiration from Heavy Metal music, of all things.
Originally debuting in a series of art period-inspired pieces, the silhouette is now switching from to Herbert Bayer to head-banging, with a colorway reminiscent of old school Iron Maiden album covers. Pairing Deep Royal Blue with mid blue and purple uppers, the pair is overlayed by jet black suede panels at the laces, tongue, and toe, while the shade continues below to engulf the entire React sole unit. Air, on the other hand, arrives in vibrant Volt Green, but that’s not the boldest stroke on the sneaker, with Metallic Gold Swooshes serving as the shoe’s frontman. Completing the design is special graphic insole that reads “Nike Air” in a Metal-styled typeface.
Already available in select stores like Finish Line, you can find the “Heavy Metal” Nike Air Max 270 React retailing for the standard MSRP of $150.
